Mae Wang Rafting – Immerse Yourself in Nature (1 Day Trip) Escape the heat and find coolness! A one-day trip to Mae Wang featuring bamboo rafting and a visit to see elephants – a fun-filled getaway for your group without the need for self-driving.
🚗 Relaxing 1-Day Mae Wang Itinerary:
• 9:00 AM – Depart from Chiang Mai city.
No need to wake up too early! Our driver will pick
you up from your home or hotel. Pack your
swimwear and get ready for some fun, then hop
into our air-conditioned vehicle and head to Mae
Wang District.
• 10:15 AM – Hike through the forest and admire
the grandeur of “Pha Cho” (Thailand’s Grand
Canyon).
Check in at our first stop, Mae Wang National
Park. Witness the natural phenomenon of steep
sediment cliffs eroded into beautiful and unique
earthen sculptures. Perfect for cool photos! (A
light workout to stretch your legs.)
• 12:15 PM – Lunch by the waterfall & visit “Mae
Wang Elephant Camp”.Continue to the Mae Wang riverside area for
some delicious Northern Thai food, or try our
papaya salad and grilled chicken by the water.
And stop to participate in activities with the
elephants, such as feeding them or giving them
a bath. The atmosphere is very cute and friendly.
• 2:00 PM – Trip Highlight: “Mae Wang Bamboo
Rafting”
Time to get on a bamboo raft and float down the
gently flowing river, enjoying the view of the
forest on both sides. Some spots are shallow
enough to cool off by swimming. Let yourself go
with the flow. The trip takes approximately 45
minutes to 1 hour (fun and safe, suitable for all
ages).
• 3:30 PM – Shower, Change Clothes & Enjoy
Coffee at a Riverside Cafe
After swimming, there’s a comfortable changing
area. Then, the driver will pick you up in an air-conditioned vehicle to relax, enjoy coffee and
delicious snacks at a chic cafe in the Mae Wang
area before heading back.
• 5:30 PM – Arrive back in Chiang Mai city safely.
Dropped off directly at your home or
accommodation. End your trip feeling refreshed
and fully recharged, without the fatigue of
driving yourself after a tiring day of swimming!
